Poonam Kaur did it only for Prabhu Deva

Poonam Kaur is playing Vishal’s sister in Vedi. Interestingly, she was played the same role in its original version Souryam, a Telugu movie that went on to become a smash hit. When director Prabhu Deva wanted to remake Souryam in Tamil, he approached Poonam Kaur with the role but she declined the offer as she is eyeing only heroine roles now.

However, Prabhu Deva convinced Poonam that only she would be suitable for the role and the actress decided that she should be accepting the role if not for anything then for Prabhu Deva. Poonam has said that she had done that role only for Prabhu Deva.
