Dhanush’s Act In Hindi Film Named As ‘Raanjhnaa’

Dhanush is one of the most popular young actors in India. The National Award for Best Actor for the film ‘Aadukalam’ and the ‘Kolaveri’ song have made the actor pushing his limits beyond Tamil cinema and, now the actor is venturing into the Bollywood industry!

Yes, the talented actor has signed a Hindi film titled ‘Raanjhnaa’ that is directed by Aanand L Rai, who directed the Madhavan starrer Hindi hit ‘Tanu Weds Manu’. When quizzed about his Hindi venture Dhanush said, “‘Raanjhnaa’ is set in the backdrop of the holy town of Banaras and directed by Aanand Rai. We had been in talks even before the song ‘Kolaveri’ happened, and I accepted the role believing in the director’s strong script and his vision about the film. Though Hindi is a problem I think I can manage by learning it. Only thing is adopting to the culture. I will adjust to it”!

The director says that he selected Dhanush after watching the actor’s award winning performance in ‘Aadukalam’. “I wanted someone who looks vulnerable, ordinary and honest. Dhanush suited well for my character,” says Aanand. Other cast and crew of the film is being decided now.
